Cristalla is a 21st century renaissance in urban living. Its modern-day origins reach back to 1915 when, as the Crystal Pool, the property was one of Seattle's most popular gathering destinations. Awarded for Excellence in Engineering and Architecture in association with structural engineers Cary Kopczynski & Company, the building was developed by Murray Franklyn, and designed by architects Weber + Thompson. Unique to the Cristalla, the Italian Renaissance-inspired terra cotta façade from the former Crystal Pool provides a touch of history and character to this contemporary building. In addition to the lobby's elegant "floating" staircase and 2-story water feature, William Traver Gallery and local artist Anna Skibska provided artistic decor throughout the building. Interior designer Mandy Reed continued the theme of the building's history by maintaining a prevalence of water with translucent panels on doors and glass panels on upper kitchen cabinets.In addition to impressive building amenities, each residence boasts quality standard finishes. All homes at the Cristalla feature hardwood flooring, floor to ceiling windows, slab granite countertops, stainless appliances, gas heat and air conditioning. Homes range from Studios, 1-bedrooms, 2-bedrooms and penthouses from 420 to 2800 square feet.
