First Light – A New Condominium Tower Coming to Downtown Seattle
The building will be 47 stories tall and house roughly 450 condominiums, along with retail space and parking. First Light is designed by James KM Cheng Architects, with PFS Studio in charge of landscaping. In addition, the building will feature the artwork by John Hogan, a well-known Seattle glass artist. This collaboration will be expansive, as Hogan’s work will be featured along the podium, amenity space and the garden on the rooftop – proving just how different First Light will be from other residential towers in Seattle.
There will be a variety of floor plans to choose from, from studios to urban one-bedroom homes and larger, one-, two- and three-bedroom condominiums. All of the homes will feature a neutral palette, favored by today’s buyers, along with expansive windows; select homes will also feature balconies. The kitchens will be truly luxurious, with custom Italian cabinetry designed by James KM Cheng Architects and Miele appliances. There will be two colors options to choose from – a sleek all-white one and a black-and-white combination for those with a bolder aesthetic.
As new buildings in Seattle do, First Light will abound in amenities. Beginning with the sleek lobby and 24/7 concierge, the entrance to the building will be impressive. The 47thfloor will feature a club house, dubbed “Residents’ Salon by Day”, a gathering and networking space. A similar space on the same floor will be more casual, perfect for catching a game or hosting a dinner party. The 47thfloor will also feature a screening lounge for all to enjoy. Completing the top floor is the outdoor cantilevered lap pool with hot tubs. One floor below will be the 3,000 square foot fitness center, with a cardio area, a yoga room and views of the wraparound terrace. First Light will also feature two amenities that are essential to big city living: a bike clubhouse with work stations and shared bikes (even electric ones!) as well as car-sharing program, exclusive to residents of the building. A unique secret garden and an outdoor pet areas complete the amenities.
