A High-Rise Site in the Denny Triangle Has a New Owner

A Denny Triangle site with zoning allowing for a tower up to 440 feet in height has changed hands. According to a recent article in the Puget Sound Business Journal, GZI Boren Limited Liability Company, based in China, purchased the property for $25 million.

The site is located at 1916 Boren Avenue, in what is now a very busy corridor. Just blocks away the wildly popular residential tower, NEXUS, is taking shape. We have blogged about NEXUS extensively in the past and invite you to view our exclusive building profile here.

The property at 1916 Boren Avenue will be joining a multitude of proposed projects in the Denny Triangle, such as new Amazon towers. According to the article, the buyers paid $1,096 per foot of land, a price which used to seem outrageous but is the new standard in our growing city. GZI Boren LLC is believed to be planning on building either condominiums or apartments on the site. We will keep you updated as more information becomes available.
