Last Chance to Buy in Gridiron: Discounted Units Hit the Market
The Gridiron, a condominium project with a unique location literally steps from CenturyLink Field, has announced its Final Sales Event. The remaining units, all ready for immediate occupancy, have been repriced – at an attractive 20% below original list prices. The campaign was launched by the developer, Daniels Real Estate, and our very own Realogics Sotheby’s International Realty, which has been in charge of finding buyers for the remaining inventory.
Gridiron is one of our favorite projects and now just because we are huge sports fans. This condominium building is located in one of Emerald City’s most exciting neighborhoods, Pioneer Square, which is just steps away from the new Seattle Waterfront District. This area encompasses over 20 acres of public grounds, such gardens and concert venues – a new look for a part of town that was once home only to the Alaska Way Viaduct.
The listings at Gridiron now come at below-replacement price points, with urban one-bedroom, one- and two-bedroom units starting at just $449,910 and topping out at around $855,000. The average per-square-foot price is $850 – which is an incredible deal for new concrete-and-steel construction in Seattle. Part of the vision for Gridiron has always been to offer middle-class, instead of focusing solely on luxury homes – hence the nine “moderate income units”, starting at just $368,500. These are to be sold to those buyers who earn at or below the 115% of the AMI – Area Median Income, which amounts to about $88,000/single person household. The only restriction placed on the lucky buyers of these homes is that they owner-occupy and not re-sell them for at least one year.
