Environment/Transportation
– Feel like your car payment, amount spent on gas and parking is making too much of a dent in your pocket book? Seattle has a couple of savvy ways you can help keep money in your pocket while making a difference in our environment.

  • Seattle Metro has one of the best public transit systems in the country. You can pretty much get anywhere in King County within an hour’s time. For those who live, or interested in living downtown, Metro also has a free ride zone that doesn’t require any fare unless you travel outside of the zone.

Health Clubs/Fitness – In Febuary of 2007, Seattle was ranked as the 2nd-fittest city in the country. If physical fitness is in your New Year’s list of goals, the downtown and Belltown neighborhoods have several gyms with parking and an eclectic collection of healthy restaurants. The downtown, Belltown, Pioneer Square and South Lake Union neighborhoods are all fairly flat and there are plenty of clubs within a jogging path’s distance.
