New Condominiums Coming to Columbia City
In keeping with the Sound Transit 3 expansion, a new condominium building, Encore at Columbia Station is coming to the Columbia City neighborhood of Seattle in late 2020.
This 96-unit building will feature a variety of floor plans, from studios to one-, two- and three-bedroom condominiums. These homes will range in size from 344 square feet to a spacious 966 square feet. The pricing will start below $300,000, which is almost unheard of given the prices of new construction in Emerald City. The larger homes will ring in at over $700,000, providing a variety of choices to prospective buyers. All of the units at Encore will feature tall ceilings, engineered hardwood floors and walls of glass to let in the light. In addition, the modern kitchens will feature induction cooktops, quartz countertops and stainless-steel appliance packages by Bertazzoni. The building will abound in amenities, from a co-working space, a fitness center, a club room with a kitchen to concierge services and a rooftop terrace. Encore’s top floor will have an outdoor barbecue area complete with seating and a theater – in addition to an indoor dog run.
Aside from offering high-end units and a plethora at amenities, Encore at Columbia City is bound to be popular due to its spectacular location. Being just minutes away from downtown Columbia City (walking distance!) and a short train ride from both Downtown Seattle and SeaTac Airport will no doubt appeal to many. In addition, BDR Homes (who is co-listing the project with Realogics Sotheby’s International Realty) will offer an unusual incentive. According to a recent RSIR article, the first dozen buyers who purchase at Encore will be able to reside at BDR’s Sonata apartments just across the street while the condominium building is being constructed – and credit a portion of their lease towards the purchase.
Emerald at Columbia Station’s sales center is expected to open in early 2019, with occupancy slated for 2020.Email
