The Peak of Home-buying Season is Coming Up Soon
ATTOM Data Solutions, a national property data company that analyzes statistics about properties across the United States has recently released a report focused on the best months and specific dates for homeowners to sell their homes.
According to the report, which analyzed around 28 million single-family dwellings over the course of eight years, there are definitely specific months and even days when property owners receive a premium. Detailed findings, which are outlined in a Seattle Times article, point to four dates as the best time to sell:
- May 24th– a 10.5% seller premium
- May 31st– 10.7% seller premium
- June 20th – 10.6% seller premium
- June 28th– 10.8% seller premium
According to ATTOM, on above dates sellers get the asking price that is, on average, 10% above market value.
It is likely not surprising that the above dates fall during the spring and summer months, which have historically been the busiest times in most markets across the United States, including Seattle.
ATTOM Data Solutions is a national data company specializing in compiling data such as tax, mortgage, foreclosure and neighborhood characteristics about roughly 155 million properties in the United States.
